Where it all began
The story of Zlatý Strom reaches back to the days when hard Western currency was exchanged within these walls. After the revolution, the venue entered a new era in the 1990s and became an icon of Prague nightlife, where countless couples met and thousands of unforgettable nights took place.
Two years of reconstruction. Nothing stayed the same.
In 2022, we decided on a complete transformation. We closed the venue, stripped out the interior and started again from scratch. The classic 1990s disco, where people came “just to dance”, was replaced by a Bar & Club with several distinct sides. The concept was created by Pavel “Pavka” Šíma, the man behind the internationally acclaimed Black Angel’s Bar, who brought world-class bartending to Zlatý Strom.
Three worlds under one roof
Today, Zlatý Strom is a place where you can come for a date on Monday or dance until morning on Saturday. Start with a drink, continue with the show and finish on the dance floor. The order is entirely up to you. Entry remains free.

Twenty-two rooms with history, directly above the restaurant and bar. After your final drink, there is no need to find a taxi. The lift takes you straight to bed.
