The Roots is an underground nightclub in central Prague with free entry and a dance floor just a few steps from Charles Bridge. It is a great choice for a night out with friends, a student party, birthday celebration, bachelor or bachelorette party, corporate event or simply letting off steam after work. Wednesday and Thursday are more about a musical warm-up, while Friday and Saturday are Full Club Mode. Expect music, dancing, a fun atmosphere and a team that makes sure everyone can enjoy the night safely.

Regular entry to The Roots is free. The bill only starts at the bar. Selected special events and the New Year’s Eve programme may have their own conditions and entry fees.
Entry is permitted for guests aged 18 and over. You may be asked to show a valid photo ID at the entrance.
You do not need a reservation for a regular visit. However, we recommend booking for Friday and Saturday evenings, celebrations and larger groups. You do not need a reservation for the dance floor, but you do if you want your own place.
Book a VIP box for up to six guests. You will have a reserved space for your group, more privacy and the certainty that you can stay together throughout the evening. The VIP box reservation is free, with the only requirement being an order from the bottle service menu. You can choose the bottle you prefer from the current selection. The dance floor remains close by, and you will not have to keep looking for your table.
Yes. You receive a full bottle of your choice, non-alcoholic mixers, ice and service directly at your table or VIP box. You do not need to order every drink separately or wait at the bar, making it more convenient and cost-effective for a larger group.
Yes. The Roots is ideal for birthdays, nights out with friends, corporate parties and bachelor or bachelorette parties. For groups, we recommend booking a VIP box so everyone has their own place and the celebration can continue without unnecessary organising.
Yes. You can move freely between The Roots, The Nest cocktail lounge and The Apple with its live dance show. One entrance, three different sides of the night.
